Nysc Registration: NYSC Warn Contractors against Substandard Products

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has warned contractors that enrolled to execute various projects to ensure compliance with the required standards or face sanctions.

The Director General of NYSC, Brigadier General Olawunmi Johnson, noted that contractors who fail to meet-up with the NYSC standard would suffer a loss as such contracts would be terminated.
The DG also task contractors on timely delivery of services, noting that delayed services would be critically examined by the management and such contractors would lose NYSC’s patronage.

“Our contractors are fully aware that the NYSC scheme does not compromise standards. Therefore, any contractor who fails to meet our set standards will have his or her contract with NYSC terminated. It is equally imperative to draw the attention of all contractors to the need for timely delivery of service, any delayed service will be viewed seriously by management and such contractors will no longer enjoy the patronage of the NYSC scheme.”
Meanwhile, bio-metric registration of prospective corps members for the 2015 batch ‘B’ commenced on Tuesday.

NYSC’s Director of Press and Public Relations, Mrs. Bose Aderibigbe, while responding to THISDAY enquiries, explained that the NYSC has no designated registration centres, but noted that only cyber centres with bio-metric registration facilities would successfully register candidates.
