Trader In Kano Was Not Beheaded Over Blasphemy - Police

Despite reports claiming that a woman who was accused of blasphemy was beheaded, the Police have debunked those reports.  Naij Reporters confirmed the death of 75 year old Mrs Bridget, a trader at the Wambai market.  She was accused by a mob of blasphemy and was beaten to death.

The Nigerian Police Force have said she was not beheaded as was earlier reported.  Her husband has also corroborated this claim in a press conference as he said she was beaten to death.  Two people have been arrested in connection with the killing as the search for all the men involved in the mob action continues.
